The version 8 patching program is NOT version specific, it will work with all versions of YM 8! All you need to do is launch the Y!Multi Messenger.exe file and then you can select to enable or disable the polygamy patch. Once its patched (either way) it will remain that way until changed again. The only time you will now use the Y!Multi Messenger.exe file is to change the actual patching, otherwise, you will now use the normal Yahoo Messenger icons.

StrongDC++ is designed as an alternate DC++ which is based on the popular Direct Connect clone "DC++".

Since DC++ is open source, you can download the source code and start modifying it. This is what I have done.

To do this, you need to stick to GPL (GNU General Public License). That's why I release my modifications as well. This client support separate downloading.

Direct Connect allows you to share files over the internet without restrictions or limits.
Because DC++ is a self contained C++ program it doesn't need installing as such - simply download and unzip the zip file, copy the contents into a directory and double click the .exe application.

Setup is simple too - once the application is running simply go to File>Settings... or click the icon on the Toolbar and you should see the settings pop-up.

DC++ is very easy to use. File>Public Hubs (or CTRL+P) brings up the Public Hubs and Connection Window then all you do is simply wait for the hub list to appear and double click a hub to connect to it.

Often the description next to a hub name in the hub list will contain a summary of the rules of the hub - some hubs are very much neo-modus only and will have the words NO DC++ in the description. Do not bother trying to connect to these hubs they will kick you out.

· Yesterday's Dev Channel update (3.0.187.0) for Windows had a critical bug which crashes the browser when you use the wrench or page menus. This release fixes that issue.

· If you already have 3.0.187.0 you cannot get to About Google Chrome to force an update. You have a couple of choices to get the update.

· Wait. If you wait about 5 hours Google Chrome will check for an update and install it for you.

· Uninstall Google Chrome and reinstall from http://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html?extra=devchannel

· The Mac and Linux builds were not affected by this bug so they are not being updated.

· We apologize for the problem and we are making changes to our process to try and avoid issues like this in the future. The dev channel is always going to be a little risky but we agree that major features like this should not go out broken.
